The Smith Machine Bent Over Row is a strength movement that targets your middle back. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Smith Machine Bent Over Row

  1. Hinge at the hips to roughly 45 degrees, back flat, bar hanging at arm's length.
  2. Pull the bar into your lower abdomen, driving your elbows back and up.
  3. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the top before lowering with control.
  4. Don't round your lower back — brace your core and hold the hinge throughout the set.
