Lying Face Down Plate Neck Resistance

Other Neck

The Lying Face Down Plate Neck Resistance is a strength movement that targets your neck. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Lying Face Down Plate Neck Resistance

  1. Lie face-down on a bench with your head hanging off the edge and hold a plate against the back of your skull.
  2. Lower your chin toward the floor in a controlled manner.
  3. Raise your head back to neutral by contracting your neck extensors.
  4. Use a light plate — the neck fatigues quickly and heavy loading here is high risk.
