How to do the One Arm Dumbbell Bench Press

  1. Lie flat on a bench with one dumbbell held at chest height, opposite hand on your abdomen.
  2. Brace your core and press your feet into the floor to resist rotation.
  3. Press the dumbbell straight up until your arm is fully extended, then lower under control.
  4. Keep your shoulder blade pinched into the bench throughout the set.
