Pushups (Close and Wide Hand Positions)

Body only Chest

The Pushups (Close and Wide Hand Positions) is a strength movement that targets your chest. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Pushups (Close and Wide Hand Positions)

  1. Alternate between a narrow grip (thumbs nearly touching) and a wide grip (well outside shoulders) across sets or reps.
  2. Maintain a rigid plank position regardless of hand position.
  3. With close grip, elbows stay tight to your sides; with wide grip, allow slight elbow flare.
  4. Lower your chest to the floor under control — don't rush the descent.
