Smith Machine Incline Bench Press

Machine Chest

The Smith Machine Incline Bench Press is a strength movement that targets your chest. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Smith Machine Incline Bench Press

  1. Set the bench to 30–45 degrees and position the bar over your upper chest.
  2. Retract your shoulder blades, unrack, and lower the bar to the top of your chest.
  3. Press back to full extension without letting the bar drift forward over your face.
  4. Keep your lower back in contact with the bench — no excessive arching.
