Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown

Cable Lats

The Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown is a strength movement that targets your lats. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Wide-Grip Lat Pulldown

  1. Grip the bar several inches beyond shoulder-width, palms facing away, and brace your thighs under the pads.
  2. Lean back slightly and pull the bar to your upper chest, leading with your elbows.
  3. Squeeze your shoulder blades together at the bottom of the rep.
  4. Let the bar rise under control — don't let it yank your arms up.
