Alternating Hang Clean

Kettlebells Hamstrings

The Alternating Hang Clean is a strength movement that targets your hamstrings. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Alternating Hang Clean

  1. Hinge at the hips to hang position with a kettlebell in each hand, back flat.
  2. Drive your hips forward explosively and pull one kettlebell up, rotating your elbow under to catch it at shoulder height.
  3. Lower back to hang and repeat on the opposite side.
  4. Keep the movement hip-driven — don't muscle it up with your arms.
