The Floor Press is a powerlifting movement that targets your triceps. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Floor Press

  1. Lie on the floor with the barbell over your chest, upper arms resting flat on the ground.
  2. Press to full lockout, then lower until your triceps make contact with the floor.
  3. Pause briefly when your triceps touch—use the floor as your depth marker, not a bounce.
  4. Keep your feet flat and core tight; your range of motion ends where the floor stops you.
