Glute Ham Raise

Machine Hamstrings

The Glute Ham Raise is a powerlifting movement that targets your hamstrings. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Glute Ham Raise

  1. Lock your feet and ankles into the glute-ham developer with your body roughly parallel to the floor.
  2. Lower your torso toward the floor under control, keeping a neutral spine.
  3. Flex your hamstrings and glutes to curl your body back up to parallel.
  4. Drive entirely from the posterior chain — no momentum.
