Parallel Bar Dip

Other Triceps

The Parallel Bar Dip is a strength movement that targets your triceps. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Parallel Bar Dip

  1. Grip the bars and press to a straight-arm support position with feet clear of the floor.
  2. Lower yourself by bending your elbows until your upper arms reach parallel with the floor.
  3. Press back up to full extension in a controlled arc.
  4. Keep your torso upright to keep the load on your triceps; forward lean shifts it to your chest.
