Power Clean from Blocks

Barbell Hamstrings

The Power Clean from Blocks is a olympic weightlifting movement that targets your hamstrings. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Power Clean from Blocks

  1. Set the blocks so the bar starts just below knee height, then take your power clean grip and establish a flat back.
  2. Initiate by pushing the floor away, then drive your hips through aggressively as the bar passes mid-thigh.
  3. Shrug, pull, and catch the bar in a front rack at a quarter-squat depth.
  4. Reset your starting position completely between reps — don't rush the setup from blocks.
