The Atlas Stones is a strongman movement that targets your lower back. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Atlas Stones

  1. Straddle the stone with feet outside hip-width, hips low, chest pressed into the stone.
  2. Lock your arms around the stone and drive your legs to pull it into your lap.
  3. Extend your hips and lean back to load the stone onto the platform.
  4. Keep your lower back braced and neutral throughout — never allow it to round under the stone.
