The Barbell Hip Thrust is a powerlifting movement that targets your glutes. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Barbell Hip Thrust

  1. Sit with your upper back against a bench, feet flat, and the barbell across your hip crease.
  2. Drive your hips upward until your body forms a straight line from knees to shoulders.
  3. Squeeze your glutes at the top and avoid letting your lower back arch excessively.
  4. Lower your hips under control until they nearly touch the floor, then repeat.
