The Barbell Shoulder Press is a strength movement that targets your shoulders. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Barbell Shoulder Press

  1. Hold the barbell at shoulder height with a grip just outside shoulder width, elbows slightly in front of the bar.
  2. Press the bar straight overhead until your arms are fully extended.
  3. Move your head back slightly as the bar passes your face, then return it to neutral.
  4. Lower the bar under control back to the starting position without dumping it onto your shoulders.
