Box Squat with Bands

Barbell Quadriceps

The Box Squat with Bands is a powerlifting movement that targets your quadriceps. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Box Squat with Bands

  1. Anchor bands to the floor or base of the rack and attach symmetrically to the bar before loading.
  2. Set up identically to a standard box squat — sit back onto the box and pause.
  3. Drive up as explosively as possible; band tension increases at lockout so accelerate through the top.
  4. Confirm band tension is equal on both sides before each set to avoid lateral bar drift.
