Box Squat with Chains

Barbell Quadriceps

The Box Squat with Chains is a strength movement that targets your quadriceps. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Box Squat with Chains

  1. Drape chains evenly over the bar so they pool on the floor at the bottom of the squat.
  2. Sit back onto the box, pause, then accelerate hard out of the hole.
  3. The chains deload at the bottom and reload as you rise — match that by accelerating through the top.
  4. Check chain length before each set so they fully unload at the bottom position.
