Deadlift with Chains
The Deadlift with Chains is a powerlifting movement that targets your lower back. Here's how to do it with clean form.
How to do the Deadlift with Chains
- Drape chains over the bar so they pool on the floor at the start and lift off as you stand.
- Set your grip just outside your legs, chest up, and pull the slack out of the bar before initiating.
- Drive your feet into the floor and extend hips and knees simultaneously.
- The chains add load at lockout — finish tall, hips fully extended, before lowering.
