Hang Clean

Barbell Quadriceps

The Hang Clean is a olympic weightlifting movement that targets your quadriceps. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Hang Clean

  1. Stand with the bar at hip height, hips hinged back, knees slightly bent, and lats engaged.
  2. Explosively extend your hips and knees to drive the bar upward.
  3. Pull yourself under the bar and receive it in a front rack position with elbows high.
  4. Stand to full extension before lowering the bar back to the hang.
