How to do the Lying One-Arm Lateral Raise
- Lie on your side on a bench with the bottom arm supporting your head and the top arm holding a dumbbell.
- Raise the dumbbell straight up toward the ceiling, leading with the elbow slightly.
- Stop when your arm is perpendicular to the floor; don't swing past.
- Lower slowly and repeat for all reps before switching sides.
