How to do the Machine Shoulder (Military) Press

  1. Adjust the seat so the handles start at shoulder height.
  2. Press straight up without locking your elbows at the top.
  3. Lower the handles back to shoulder level with control.
  4. Keep your back flat against the pad — don't arch to grind out reps.
