Power Snatch from Blocks

Barbell Quadriceps

The Power Snatch from Blocks is a olympic weightlifting movement that targets your quadriceps. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Power Snatch from Blocks

  1. Position the blocks so the bar sits just below the knee, then take a wide snatch grip and establish your pulling position.
  2. Initiate the pull by pressing through the floor, then accelerate aggressively as the bar passes mid-thigh.
  3. Receive the bar overhead with arms locked out at a partial squat depth, feet landing stable.
  4. Stand tall to complete the lift before lowering the bar back to the blocks under control.
