How to do the Seated Side Lateral Raise

  1. Sit upright on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand resting at your sides.
  2. With a slight bend at the elbow, raise both arms out to shoulder height.
  3. Lead with your elbows and avoid shrugging at the top.
  4. Lower slowly under control back to the starting position.
