Smith Incline Shoulder Raise

Barbell Shoulders

The Smith Incline Shoulder Raise is a strength movement that targets your shoulders. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Smith Incline Shoulder Raise

  1. Set the bench to a 45-degree incline and lie face-down with the bar at arm's length below you.
  2. Grip the bar shoulder-width, arms straight, and raise it in front of you to shoulder height.
  3. Lower under control — don't let momentum drive the movement.
  4. Keep your neck neutral and avoid shrugging your traps into the lift.
