The Smith Machine Leg Press is a strength movement that targets your quadriceps. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Smith Machine Leg Press

  1. Sit against the pad with your feet placed shoulder-width on the bar, toes slightly out.
  2. Unrack and lower by bending your knees toward your chest, stopping before your lower back rounds off the pad.
  3. Press through your heels to full extension without locking your knees.
  4. Control the descent — don't let the weight drop.
