Smith Machine Squat
The Smith Machine Squat is a strength movement that targets your quadriceps. Here's how to do it with clean form.
How to do the Smith Machine Squat
- Position the bar across your upper traps, feet shoulder-width apart and slightly in front of the bar.
- Unrack, brace your core, and descend until thighs are at least parallel to the floor.
- Drive through your heels to stand, keeping knees tracking over toes.
- The fixed bar path removes the need to balance — focus on depth and not letting the chest collapse forward.
