The Smith Machine Upright Row is a strength movement that targets your traps. Here's how to do it with clean form.
How to do the Smith Machine Upright Row
- Grip the bar slightly narrower than shoulder-width with an overhand grip, bar hanging at hip level.
- Pull the bar straight up by driving your elbows high and wide until it reaches upper-chest height.
- Lower with control back to the start position.
- Stop the pull before elbows exceed shoulder height to reduce impingement risk.
