Standing Bradford Press

Barbell Shoulders

The Standing Bradford Press is a strength movement that targets your shoulders. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Standing Bradford Press

  1. Hold a barbell at shoulder height with a grip slightly wider than shoulder-width.
  2. Press the bar just high enough to clear your head, then pass it behind to neck height.
  3. Reverse the arc — press over the top and return to the front — without locking out.
  4. Keep the movement continuous and controlled; never rack the bar at the bottom of each pass.
