The Upright Barbell Row is a strength movement that targets your shoulders. Here's how to do it with clean form.

How to do the Upright Barbell Row

  1. Stand holding a barbell with an overhand grip, hands about shoulder-width apart or slightly narrower.
  2. Pull the bar straight up toward your chin, leading with your elbows.
  3. Raise until the bar reaches upper-chest height and your elbows are above your wrists.
  4. Lower the bar with control and keep it close to your body throughout.
